Thank you for your continued support of Banner Systems. We would like to share some information with you based on what we have received from our manufacturers and suppliers over the past few days in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
As we’re sure you know by now, this is a worldwide concern. Manufacturers understand that the demand spikes for hand sanitizers and disinfecting products during the winter months and flu season, but nobody could be prepared for a global outbreak such as this. To meet the overwhelming demand, manufacturers are working around the clock to replenish inventory. Despite those efforts, lead times for delivery on sanitizers and disinfectants are much longer than normal.
Manufacturers have implemented an allocation policy for distributors as well. Due to the increased demand, they are sending limited amounts of products to distributors as evenly and fairly as they can. This is also contributing to the increased lead times.
Finally, due to the volume of orders, manufacturers and suppliers have informed us that they will not be accepting returns on sanitizers and disinfectants. As such, Banner Systems will not be accepting returns on these products either going forward. We will not be able to cancel orders once they are processed. We will always do what is best for our customers, but unfortunately, our hands are tied with the manufacturers right now. We encourage you to continue incorporating regular cleaning and disinfection programs, as well as good health practices year-round, to keep everyone happy, healthy, and productive.
While everyone is focusing on hand sanitizers, we would like to take this opportunity to shift the attention back where it should be: soap and water. Soap and water, according to the CDC, should always be your #1 option when available. Hand sanitizers are a great secondary option to fill the void when soap and water are not readily accessible.
