Know What to Toss (in Your Recycling Bins)
Performing an office waste audit is the best way to know what kind of waste and recyclable materials your facility generates. As you audit, you may also identify ways in which you can use fewer materials and save your facility money.
Take samples from various spaces throughout your facility, like the lounge, cafeteria, individual desks and the shipping room. Then, measure the volume of waste, note the number of days it was collected and note all the materials collected, like newspaper, cleaning products, plastic packaging, food scraps, soda cans, etc.
