This Year’s Boston Winter Forecast: Snow in Dec, Feb, and March

\"FarmersIt’s not too early for facility maintenance managers to plan for winter snow and weather and many believe Farmer’s Almanac is the best predictor of winter weather.

In fact, over the years, the Farmers’ Almanac has been 75% – 85% accurate in its weather predictions.

So what is in store for this winter? According to the Farmer’s Almanac and this local TV interview, the Boston area will be colder this winter than normal, and have a mixture of snow, sleet, and rain. Farmer’s Almanac has “red marked” the dates of February 12 – 25 and March 20 – 25 for a high likelihood of snow storms.

They also caution that we should “look out for December,” as high levels of snow are anticipated.

Banner Systems offers several different ice melt options for facility maintenance managers, and with the forecast showing Boston could experience heavy snowfall in December, be sure you stock up in time. You can never be too safe when providing safe passage on sidewalks, parking lots, drives, steps, docks and ramps.
